Small carnival. BIG purpose. Our G&T students used math to create a carnival. BOLTs visited, bought tickets, and played games to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation 💙 Even a small group can make a big difference!

It’s Wonder Wednesday! Today our school turned into a hub of curiosity as students explored, questioned, and discovered the world around them. The power of wondering sparks endless learning!




Play of the day... Election Day! Miss Thompson and Mrs. Masnica's 1st graders learned about voting through their own class cookie election! Students created campaign posters, voted for their favorite candidate & tallied the votes to elect our favorite cookie!

Play of the day... Halloween Science! Ms. Lewkowitz's scientists explored the human skeleton and created spooky x-rays of their hands to celebrate Halloween fun and learning!

Play of the day...Light Up Our Learning! ✨
Mrs. Facendo, Miss Koncius, and Miss Lyna’s classes learned about Diwali, the Festival of Lights! Students created their own diyas while learning from classmates who celebrate — sharing traditions, stories, and the joy of togetherness.




Play of the day... Applesauce! Miss Carlos' class wrapped up their apple unit by making homemade applesauce! Students peeled, chopped, and mixed apples with cinnamon, sugar & lemon juice- a fun, hands-on way to learn and enjoy a cozy fall treat!

Today's first play of the day…Pumpkins! Mrs. Tornambe’s class explored symmetry and simple sentences through pumpkin fun! Students, at all grades, can check out their creative pumpkin designs which are in display outside of Mrs. Tornambe’s classroom.

Play of the day... Hands on Math! Students in Mrs. Bonseñor and Mrs. Martinelli's class teamed up to create a giant 10,000s chart to explore how multiples of 10 relate to one another. They worked together to see what 10,000 really looks like. #GreatnessStartsHere

Lights, Camera, Design! Our class just finished The One and Only Ivan, by Katherine Applegate. Students will design a zoo with enclosures for the characters in the book. As a cross-curricular connection, they will then find the area and perimeter for each enclosure and provide written descriptions.

Learning numbers has never been more fun. Sra. Hernandez's students are making aluminum foil snowballs and counting them in Spanish. They ask "¿Cuanto tienes?" and help each other by counting together. Hands-on, engaging and full of teamwork!

Kindergarten students in Mrs. Jones & Mrs. Callas’ class were thinking like scientists and making hypotheses about the outcome of potato races using concepts like force and motion and friction.


Lights, Camera, Women’s History Month! Grade Three students in Mrs. Ryan and Mrs. Surenko’s class stepped into the spotlight as they researched incredible stories of famous women in history & prepared to write an informational essay!



Light, Camera, Read Across America & Kindness!
Students in Miss Lack & Mrs. Gigantino’s 2nd grade class have taken the Benjamin Franklin Read Across America themes & turned them into real life Future Leader moments. Today, WE were the mystery readers for Mrs. Batista’s class.
Lights, Camera, Math Madness! Miss Thompson and Mrs. Masnica’s grade one students are mastering their addition and subtraction facts with a little basketball fun!
